Case Notes
Four months after abdominoplasty, you're looking at the result for a 50-year-old woman who weighed 170 lbs at the time of surgery. The before photo shows significant excess abdominal skin with pronounced folding across the mid and lower abdomen. Abdominoplasty addressed that excess tissue by removing the redundant skin panel and tightening the abdominal wall. At four months out, the after photo shows the abdomen is flat and the low horizontal scar sits below the bikini line, largely concealed by underwear. The navel has been repositioned and looks well-placed on the abdominal surface. Swelling at this stage is largely resolved, giving you a reliable sense of where the result is headed.
