Five months after abdominoplasty, you're looking at what the abdominal wall can look like once excess skin and tissue have been removed and the underlying muscles addressed. This patient was 51 at the time of surgery. The after photo shows a flattened abdominal contour, a repositioned navel, and a low horizontal scar sitting at the bikini line. The skin that previously draped over the lower abdomen has been excised, and the upper abdominal skin has been brought down and closed at that low incision. Stretch marks visible in the lower panel of skin before surgery are gone in the after photo, removed along with the excised tissue.
