Case Notes
Three months after abdominoplasty, you're looking at the frontal result for a 30-year-old female patient weighing 130 lbs. The before photo shows loose, crepey abdominal skin with visible laxity across the lower abdomen and around the umbilicus. Abdominoplasty addressed that excess skin, tightening the abdominal wall and repositioning the navel. In the after photo, the low horizontal scar is visible just above the underwear line, and the umbilicus sits in a repositioned location with the surrounding skin lying flat. Scars at three months are still in an active healing phase, so the redness and firmness you see here are expected to continue fading over the coming months.
