Dr. Danielle DeLuca-Pytell is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who, after nearly ten years of private Plastic Surgery practice in New York, has returned to her home state of Michigan. Dr. DeLuca-Pytell combines her attention for detail and artistry with her profession as a plastic surgeon, creating natural and refreshing enhancements to the physical appearance of her patients. She specializes in breast and body contouring, both cosmetic and reconstructive, facial cosmetic surgery, breast reconstruction for women with breast cancer, and cosmetic surgery after weight loss.
After graduating from Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine, Dr. DeLuca-Pytell went on to complete her residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. That year, only 70 medical students in the country were awarded the opportunity to go directly into the study of plastic surgery without completing an additional residency first. She then completed a rigorous Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at the Institute of Aesthetic Surgery and Medicine in Mount Kisco, New York.
People may be hesitant to contact a plastic surgeon at first. Dr. DeLuca-Pytell strives to make the first visit educational and informative, but in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Most importantly, Dr. DeLuca-Pytell provides her patients with the support and knowledge needed to make the right decision, one that they can feel comfortable with now and in the future.
Dr. DeLuca-Pytell maintains a passionate commitment to high quality patient care. Patients are enveloped in a safe and caring environment, one where both Dr. DeLuca-Pytell and her dedicated and knowledgeable staff provide complete and continuous support from start to finish.
Just as the master craftsman must pay strong attention to detail, so too does the master surgeon. Dr. DeLuca-Pytell creates a naturally enhanced appearance for each patient that is individualized for them. Time is spent discussing what is possible, but also what is not. Patients leave looking “refreshed” instead of “different.” Most importantly, patients feel like themselves again.
“When planning a procedure with a patient, I give a lot of thought to balance and proportion. I want my patients to look natural and rejuvenated. Most people don’t want to look like they’ve had something done. They want to look and feel great about themselves,”
As a woman and a mother who has experienced changes to her own body, Dr. DeLuca-Pytell can relate to other women experiencing similar issues.
“I get it… I have the parts. I have been a patient myself, so I understand the vulnerability people feel when they entrust someone to care for their health and their body.”
Many women may feel unsure of their body after giving birth, creating gaps in intimacy with their partner or feeling self aware around their children. The disconnect between how a patient feels on the inside and how a patient looks on the outside can be the cause of frustration for many. As a surgeon, woman, and mother, Dr. DeLuca-Pytell has personally dealt with many of these same issues, and she supports those looking to improve their lives and their self-confidence through plastic surgery.
Dr. DeLuca-Pytell’s favorite part of being a plastic surgeon is seeing first hand how her external work of enhancing the physical body creates long lasting internal effects for her patients. It’s when a patient is able to look in the mirror and feel confident again that Dr. DeLuca-Pytell knows the surgery was a success.
“Patients are always surprised how emotionally changed they feel after surgery. It is gratifying for me to see how a few hours in the operating room with a patient can give them long lasting confidence, happiness, and an improved quality of life,”
Dr. DeLuca-Pytell thrives in her role as a plastic surgeon as she supports her patients on their journey to achieve their goals and maximize their life. Throughout her training, Dr. DeLuca-Pytell has received honors and awards from nationally recognized societies acknowledging her commitment to excellence. She is a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society as well as a member of both The American Society of Plastic Surgery and The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has completed Maintenance of Certification. Most recently, she was honored with the Compassionate Doctor Award by Vitals.com. Because of her skill in nonsurgical facial rejuvenation, Dr. DeLuca-Pytell has been selected as an injection trainer, teaching other medical professionals in the use of injectable fillers and toxins, a role that has allowed her to strengthen her own work.
Combining art and science with compassion and understanding, Dr. DeLuca-Pytell offers her patients a life changing opportunity for improvement, both externally and internally. Her practice is not just about physical change, but about overall life enhancement.
