Case Notes
Seven months after abdominoplasty, you're looking at what the abdominal wall can look like once excess skin and tissue have been removed and the underlying muscles addressed. This patient was 40 years old and weighed 190 lbs at the time of surgery. The before photo shows significant skin laxity across the lower abdomen along with visible stretch marks extending from below the navel downward. The after photo, taken at the seven-month mark, shows a flatter abdominal contour, a repositioned navel, and the low horizontal scar that abdominoplasty produces. Healing at this stage is well along, though scars continue to mature beyond seven months. Shown with the patient's written consent. Save it to your Favorites ❤️ if you want to come back to it later.
