Case Notes
Mentor Smooth Round Saline implants, placed in a 30-year-old patient weighing 130 lbs. That's the starting point for this case. Each implant shell was filled to 500cc at the time of surgery, starting from a 420cc base volume. Saline implants allow that kind of intraoperative volume adjustment, which gives the surgeon the option to fine-tune fill level once the implant is in position. The after photo is taken at three months post-op, when initial swelling has resolved and the implants have settled into their final position. You can see the volume the 500cc fill produces across the chest on a lean frame. Dr. Danielle DeLuca-Pytell MD can walk you through whether this implant type and fill volume fits your anatomy.
