Case Notes
This is a breast reduction performed on a 24-year-old female patient weighing 160 lbs. The before photo shows very large, heavy breasts with significant downward displacement of both nipple-areola complexes. Tissue was removed and the nipple-areola complexes were repositioned to a higher point on the chest wall. The after photo, taken at five months post-op, shows the incision pattern clearly: scars circle each areola, extend vertically downward, and follow the inframammary fold, which is consistent with a standard anchor-pattern reduction. At this stage in healing, the scars are still pink and actively maturing, which is expected at five months. Scar appearance continues to change for up to two years after surgery.
