Case Notes
Thirteen months after breast reduction surgery, you're looking at the result for a 60-year-old patient weighing 170 lbs. The before photo shows very large, low-positioned breasts with the nipple-areola complexes sitting well below the breast mound. Breast reduction removes excess breast tissue and skin while repositioning the nipple-areola complex higher on the chest wall. The after photo, taken at the 13-month mark, shows the breasts sitting noticeably higher, with the nipple-areola complexes repositioned and the overall breast volume reduced. Healing at this stage is well along, and the incision lines visible in the photo are continuing to mature. Individual results vary.
