Breast Reduction #29879

This is a breast reduction case performed on a 40-year-old patient weighing 190 lbs. The before photo shows very large, heavily dependent breasts with significant downward nipple projection. Breast reduction surgery removes excess breast tissue and skin while repositioning the nipple-areola complex to a higher location on the chest wall. The after photo, taken five months post-op, shows a considerably smaller breast size with the nipple-areola complex repositioned and the areolae appearing rounder and more forward-facing than before surgery. You can see the incision lines are still maturing at this point, which is expected at the five-month mark. Scar appearance continues to change for up to two years after this procedure.
