Five months after surgery, you're looking at a breast implant revision performed on a 60-year-old patient weighing 160 lbs. The existing implants were removed bilaterally, and a bilateral capsulectomy was performed at the same time to address the surrounding scar tissue before new implants were placed. That sequencing, removing a portion of the capsule alongside the old implant, is a standard step when capsular tissue needs to be cleared to give the replacement device a clean pocket. The new implants are 360cc Mentor MemoryGel silicone implants, placed bilaterally.
