Case Notes
This is a breast implant revision case for a 50-year-old patient weighing 108 lbs. The existing saline implants were removed and bilateral total capsulectomies were performed, meaning the entire scar tissue capsule around each implant was excised on both sides. New 250cc Mentor Moderate Plus silicone implants were then placed. Removing the full capsule rather than leaving it in place is one option a surgeon may choose depending on the condition of the tissue and the patient's anatomy. The after photo was taken four months post-op, showing the breasts with the new implants settled into position. Results vary from patient to patient.
