Case Notes
This is a breast implant revision case for a 60-year-old patient weighing 108 lbs. The previous implants were removed along with a bilateral capsulectomy, which means the scar tissue capsule that had formed around each implant was excised on both sides. New 375cc Mentor MemoryGel silicone implants were then placed to complete the exchange. Removing the capsule at the time of implant replacement is a common step when the existing capsule has changed in a way that affects how the implant sits or feels. The after photo is taken five months post-op, giving you a view of the result once early healing has settled.
