Case Notes
This is a breast implant removal case for a 51-year-old patient weighing 212 lbs. The saline implants were deflated and the surrounding capsule tissue was removed through capsulectomy. Because implant removal alone can leave excess skin, a mastopexy was performed at the same time to reposition the nipple-areola complex and reshape the remaining breast tissue. You can see the periareolar scarring in the after photo, still maturing at the five-month mark. Combining the removal, capsulectomy, and lift into a single procedure reduces overall recovery compared to staging them separately. The after photo is taken five months post-op. Results vary from patient to patient. Call (248) 885-8858 if you'd like to talk it through.
