Case Notes
A bilateral breast augmentation using Mentor silicone gel implants, 400cc, high profile, placed submuscularly through an inframammary incision. That's the plan used for this 30-year-old patient, who weighed 150 lbs at the time of surgery. The inframammary incision keeps the scar along the fold beneath the breast, where it's least visible once healed. Submuscular placement positions the implant beneath the chest muscle, which can reduce implant visibility in patients with less existing breast tissue. The after photo shows fuller upper-pole projection and increased overall breast volume compared to the before image. If you're considering a similar approach, Dr. Danielle DeLuca-Pytell MD can walk you through whether this implant size and placement are right for your anatomy.
