This 45 year old mother of five children was tired of people asking when she was due. Three years after abdominoplasty with rectus diastasis repair, you can see how the abdominal wall sits in the after photo: the skin is flat and the contour is visibly tighter from the lower chest to the low horizontal incision line. The procedure addressed both the excess abdominal skin and the separated rectus abdominis muscles, which were sutured back together along the midline before the overlying tissue was repositioned and trimmed. The after photo shows the incision line sitting low, consistent with placement beneath typical waistband coverage. Shown with the patient's written consent.
