Case Notes
Two years out from surgery, you're looking at a 35-year-old patient who came in with rectus diastasis and an umbilical hernia, both of which developed after two pregnancies. Her second baby weighed over nine pounds, which worsened the muscle separation considerably. She was physically active before surgery and made clear she intended to stay that way. The plan combined a full abdominoplasty with umbilical hernia repair and rectus muscle plication to address the separation directly. A vertical closure above the low transverse scar handled the original belly button site; at 24 months, that closure is barely visible. The low scar is fine-line. She's back to an active lifestyle. Shown with the patient's written consent. Contact us to start your journey today!
