Case Notes
Two months after upper blepharoplasty, you're looking at the closed-eye view of a patient in her fifties who had excess upper eyelid skin addressed through this procedure. The before photo shows the upper lids with skin folding over the lid margin on both sides. Upper blepharoplasty removes a precisely planned strip of skin from the upper lid, with the incision placed within the natural lid crease so scarring sits out of view when the eyes are open. The after photo, taken at the two-month mark, shows the upper lids with the excess skin removed and the crease sitting cleanly above the lash line on both sides. Healing at this stage is considered well along, though full maturation of the incision lines continues beyond two months.
