Case Notes
Two months after a Short Scar Breast Reduction, you can see the degree of size reduction achieved for this 50-year-old patient weighing 150 lbs. The superomedial pedicle technique was used to preserve nipple-areola blood supply and sensation during tissue removal and repositioning. Short scar reduction limits the incision pattern compared to a traditional anchor approach, which means less scarring on the lower breast. The after photo shows the areolas sitting higher on the chest wall, with scars still in an early healing phase at this two-month mark. Scar maturation continues well beyond this point. Results vary from patient to patient. Call (248) 885-8858 if you'd like to talk it through.
