Case Notes
The patient, a 50-year-old female weighing 170 lbs, underwent a breast reduction procedure using the anchor technique with a superomedial pedicle approach. The images depict changes observed at the 12-month post-operative mark. Pre-operatively, the breasts exhibited significant volume and lower positioning. Post-operatively, there is a noticeable reduction in breast size and elevation of the nipple-areolar complex to a more central position on the chest wall. The scars from the anchor technique are visible but appear to be healing well over time. These images provide a visual representation of the surgical adjustments achieved through this specific breast reduction method. For breast reduction, Dr. DeLuca-Pytell prefers to remove weight from the bottom of the breast to reduce the risk of droop recurring.
