As you work to lose weight and get your ideal figure, you may find that you are left with excess skin on many parts of your body. This can greatly impact your enthusiasm to pursue weight loss, and gives you a new problem to solve. As you consider what you can do to fix the flabby skin on your arms and legs, you may want to consider some surgical body sculpting procedures such as an arm lift or a thigh lift.
Your Girlfriend the Plastic Surgeon®, Dr. Danielle DeLuca-Pytell is skilled at many forms of body contouring and will help you determine what may work best for the loose skin building up on your arms and legs.
As you lose weight, you will find that your skin may not bounce back the way you imagine. This can be especially true of the skin on your arms. An arm lift will help reshape your arm, removing the excess skin and contouring it to match your aesthetic goals. The downside of an arm lift is that there will be a permanent scar that may be visible depending on the outfit you choose to wear, but Dr. DeLuca-Pytell can deftly hide it in such a way that it is hard for others to see.
An arm lift does provide long lasting results in removing loose skin that you achieved through weight loss or liposuction, and is a great way to address that last remaining bit of tissue that stubbornly refuses to go away.
When you find that you have excess skin on your legs, especially your thighs, then you may want to address the flabby skin with a thigh lift. Similar to an arm lift in that it attempts to rectify your loose skin, a thigh lift is different because there is more opportunity to hide the scar in a less conspicuous place. There will still be a scar, however, and the procedure may have a longer or more prevalent recovery period, as the incision may be in the crease of your groin, which can cause discomfort and temporary issues with walking.
This operation may take between 4-6 hours, and you will also be under general anesthesia for it to allow you a comfortable surgical experience. This is one of the best surgical choices for handling your flabby leg skin.
Some people can achieve a lot of their ideal physique by eating right and exercising. When you find that you need a little extra help getting rid of the skin that remains, reach out to Your Girlfriend the Plastic Surgeon® to learn what procedure might be best for you. Your consultation with Dr. DeLuca-Pytell will clarify your options, and we are happy to guide you through your cosmetic journey as you work to address your flabby skin on your arms and legs.

I am a wife, mom, and native Metro Detroiter who loves 80’s music. Chances are, I am a lot like you. After almost fifteen years of plastic surgery practice, I opened my own solo practice in January 2019.
My goal is to offer high-quality plastic surgery in a relaxed and comfortable environment that doesn’t feel like most doctor’s offices. A patient myself, l know how it feels to be on the other side of the examination table. I have designed an office with that in mind.
