Case Notes
Eight years out, this is what long-term breast augmentation can look like. This patient, a woman in her early thirties weighing 130 lbs, received 455cc Mentor MemoryGel round silicone implants placed submuscularly through an inframammary incision. Dr. Danielle DeLuca-Pytell used a dual-plane technique, which positions the upper portion of the implant beneath the pectoralis muscle while allowing the lower pole to sit directly behind the breast tissue. The ultrahigh profile implant selection suited her frame and the volume she was looking for. The after photo, taken at the eight-year mark, shows the implants sitting in good position with no visible distortion. Long-term follow-up cases like this one give you a realistic picture of how this approach holds over time.
