Case Notes
A Fleur-De-Lis abdominoplasty was performed on this 52-year-old patient, who weighed 126 lbs at the time of surgery. This technique uses both a horizontal and a vertical incision, allowing removal of excess skin in two directions rather than one. You can see the characteristic inverted-T scar pattern in the after photo, with the vertical component running from just below the sternum to the pubic area and the horizontal component sitting low across the abdomen. The after photo is taken at 12 months post-op, when scar maturation is still ongoing. Scars at this stage continue to fade over time. Shown with the patient's written consent.
