Case Notes
Four months after abdominoplasty, you're looking at the frontal result for a 50-year-old female patient weighing 120 lbs. The before photo shows significant loose, redundant abdominal skin with excess tissue extending into the lower abdomen and flanks. Abdominoplasty addressed that excess skin, removing the overhanging lower abdominal panel entirely. The after photo shows a flat abdominal contour with the low horizontal scar visible just above the bikini line, still in early maturation at this point. The navel has been repositioned and sits centrally on the abdominal wall. Scar maturation continues well beyond four months, so what you see here isn't the final scar appearance. Shown with the patient's written consent.
