Dermaplaning is an excellent exfoliating treatment that provides both immediate and cumulative results. It is a manual form of exfoliation that removes dead skin cells and vellus hair (aka “peach fuzz”) from the surface of your skin. Your face will feel softer than ever and look brighter and more youthful. The treatment uses a surgical blade to physically exfoliate the top layer of skin. After treatment, your makeup will go on more smoothly and your products will penetrate more deeply. This is a painless, no-downtime procedure!
Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure designed to rejuvenate the skin. Tiny needles are used to create micro-channels in the skin, a controlled injury. Your body responds by turning on the wound healing cascade which then creates new, bulk collagen. Stimulating collagen and elastin in the skin will result in a reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, and pigment. It will minimize pore size and improve the skin’s texture.
Microneedling can be performed with two different options. The first is with a Hyaluronic Acid serum. This neutral serum helps to plump, hydrate, and firm the skin. The second is with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma). PRP enhances your treatment by increasing the collagen stimulation you obtain from microneedling alone. The pressure is softer than traditional massage and uses soft rhymmic movements to encourage lymph flow. Lymphatic massage aids post-surgical edema and recovery, stimulates the immune systems and promotes overall weel being. Lymphatic massages are beneficial between the two week and two-month post-surgical period.
